Cal State Professor Named to New Post

Don L. Anderson, professor of geophysics at Cal State Los Angeles, has been named the first Eleanor and John R. McMillan Professor of Geophysics. The professorship was established to honor the memory of Mrs. McMillan, who died in 1988.

Anderson served for 22 years as director of Caltech’s Seismological Laboratory and is president of the American Geophysical Union.
