Man’s Body Found in Sherman Oaks Park
The body of a 49-year-old Panorama City man was found Sunday morning near a dumpster in Sherman Oaks Park, police said.
The man, whose name was not released pending notification of relatives, apparently died elsewhere and his body was dumped in the park on Van Nuys Boulevard near the Ventura Freeway, police said. A park maintenance worker found the body about 6:30 a.m.
Police are unsure how the man died and are treating the case as a murder. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
