Joseph Fletcher Named Burbank City Attorney
The Burbank City Council on Tuesday night named Joseph W. Fletcher as city attorney.
Fletcher, 34, who was senior assistant city attorney in Burbank from October, 1988, to October, 1989, is currently assistant city attorney in Anaheim.
“It’s a very unique opportunity to move into a position where I’m already comfortable with the staff, the council, the community and the issues,” Fletcher said. “I can get a very quick start on the job.”
The council has been looking for a city attorney since Douglas C. Holland resigned in August. Acting City Attorney Juli C. Scott had applied for the job but recently withdrew her application.
