WORLD IN BRIEF : AFGHANISTAN : Rebel Rockets Kill 4, Wound 15 in Kabul

U.S.-backed guerrillas bombarded Afghanistan’s capital of Kabul with rockets, killing four people and wounding 15 in the bloodiest attack in weeks, state-run radio said. Meanwhile, a statement from the Afghan resistance said its forces killed 43 government troops and wounded 21 others in fighting last week in Logar province, south of the capital. The resistance has failed to capture any key urban strongholds despite the withdrawal of Soviet troops early last year.
