Nominee for District Judge

WASHINGTON —
President Bush announced Friday that he will nominate Jack Shanstrom, a U.S. magistrate since 1983, as U.S. district judge for the state of Montana. If confirmed by the Senate, Shanstrom, 58, of Billings, Mont., would succeed James Battin.
