Highlander II (Davis-Panzer). Shooting in Argentina. Russell Mulcahy, director of the 1986 original, which stiffed here but scored big overseas, returns with Christopher Lambert and Sean Connery reprising their respective characters. Time traveling again presents the spine of the film with past, present and future all getting ample screen time. Producers Peter S. Davis and William N. Panzer. The Invisible Maniac (Smoking Gun). Shooting in L.A. Noel Peters plays the title character, a scientist who has perfected a serum that will actually “decreate” matter. He gleefully uses this discovery on himself but suffers egregious side effects. Producers Anton Markwell and Matt Devlen. Director/screenwriter Rif Coogan. Also stars Melissa Moore and Shannon Wilsey.

Spirits (Cinema Group). Shooting in L.A. Erik Estrada and Carol Lynley head this vaporous cast in the story of a group of scientists and psychics who enlist the aid of a fallen priest to determine whether there is, indeed, life after death. White Fang (Lobell/Bergman, Hybrid). Shooting in Haines, Alaska. “Getting It Right” director Randal Kleiser directs Klaus Maria Brandauer in the film version of Jack London’s book. Brandauer rescues a wild wolf dog of the North and brings him down to California. The animal later repays him by fending off a nefarious escaped convict. Producers Mike Lobell and Andrew Bergman.
