Safe Stunts: The federal government fined the Walt Disney Co. $1,000 for failing to provide adequate protection to actors re-creating movie character Indiana Jones’ stunts at its Disney-MGM Theme Park in Florida. Two performers have fallen and suffered injuries and a third was hurt by a trap door at the show, which features performers re-creating scenes from the movies. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration instructed Disney to install padding and other safety equipment.
