Lookout Man Convicted in ‘Ninja Murders’ of 2
A reputed hit man who allegedly served as lookout in the so-called “Ninja murders” of an elderly Brentwood couple five years ago has been found guilty of first-degree murder, conspiracy and special circumstances that could result in the death penalty.
Anthony Majoy, 51, of Reseda was convicted Thursday of participating in the killing of Gerald and Vera Woodman in the garage of their condominium as they returned from a post-Yom Kippur gathering.
Jurors are still deliberating the fate of the Woodmans’ son, Stewart Woodman, 40, of Hidden Hills, after hearing nearly seven months of testimony. Also charged and to be tried separately are Stewart Woodman’s brother, Neil, and two other alleged hit men, Steven and Robert Homick.
The slayings had been dubbed the “Ninja murders” because an eyewitness erroneously described a hooded, black sweat shirt worn by one of the assailants as martial arts garb.
