Van Nuys Crash Kills Man, Pregnant Woman

A motorcyclist lost control of his vehicle on a curve in Van Nuys, killing himself, a pregnant female passenger and her 8-month-old fetus, Los Angeles police said Saturday.
The driver, Dino Quatrano, 21, of Chatsworth, was pronounced dead at the scene at Hayvenhurst Avenue and Decelis Place, Officer Bill Mulvihill said. Quatrano was thrown against a light pole after his Honda motorcycle struck a curb about 9:15 p.m. Friday, officers said.
The passenger, whose identity had not been established Saturday, died at Northridge Hospital Medical Center of massive head injuries.
