Hurt’s Palimony Case Appealed

NEW YORK — Former ballerina Sandra Jennings hoped to get another crack at actor William Hurt’s $10-million fortune today at an appeals court hearing on her palimony case against the star of “The Big Chill.”
Jennings, 32, lost her bid last summer in state Supreme Court in Manhattan to prove that she and Hurt, 39, had a common-law marriage.
The former New York City Ballet dancer, who is the mother of Hurt’s 7-year-old son, had planned to sue Hurt later for divorce and seek half his earnings, estimated at $10 million.
Jennings claims she and the boy, Alex, are living in poverty in Manhattan on the $65,000 in annual child support Hurt pays.
