Police Seek Driver in Hit-Run Death
Glendale police are looking for the driver of a red sports car involved in the hit-and-run death of a pedestrian on Brand Boulevard.
Police said Beverly Brustares, 51, of Glendale, was struck by a red Mazda RX7 at 6:13 p.m. Sunday while crossing Brand at Laurel Street. The vehicle continued south on Brand without stopping, then turned east on Eulalia Street, police said.
Brustares suffered massive internal injuries and died early Monday at County-USC Medical Center.
