Yokohama Memories
Thank you so much for the lovely article by Kunio Francis Tanabe (“Sharing Memories of a Yokohama Childhood After Making the Journey Home Decades Later,” Feb. 25). I, too, have many of the same memories, as I lived on “The Bluff” in the early 1960s. I remember many Sunday afternoons at Sankeien Gardens with my family and friends. I know my house is no longer on Yamate-cho and that I would not recognize very much of what I knew as Yokohama, but it is nice to know that the city lives on in the old way in minds other than my own.
