COMMUTERFARE: Merchants in San Juan Capistrano welcomed news that Amtrak would run a 6 a.m. train to Los Angeles (A1). . . . “The more trains the better,” exulted Eric Hooykaas, co-owner of the Capistrano Depot Restaurant, which will offer a 5:30 a.m. “breakfast service” of juice, croissants and coffee. . . . Also pleased: Donna Timney of the San Juan Saloon. . . . She promises doughnuts and coffee for early travelers, “though I’m not sure how many people will jump on at that hour.”
