Governor to Keynote BIA Conference
Gov. George Deukmejiam will be the keynote speaker at the Real Estate Conference sponsored by the Orange County Building Industry Assn. on April 5 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Anaheim Hilton and Towers.
“Everything from environmental concerns to regulation of the thrift industry ultimately impacts our construction industry in the Southland,” said Richard Hill Adams, chairman of United Western Mortgage and chairman of BIA/OCR’s Mortgage Finance Committee, which is organizing the meeting.
“This year’s Real Estate Conference will present the most comprehensive look possible at the many forces governing real estate development today,” he said. The Orange County Register is a co-sponsor of the event.
Offering the perspective of the major builders will be Wade Cable, president of the Presley Cos.; Mark Frazier, president and chairman of the board, Barratt American Inc., and John Lusk, chairman of the board of the Lusk Co. Donald E. Moe, senior vice president, marketing and corporate affairs, of the Santa Margarita Co., will moderate.
Other panels on transportation and environmental issues, finance, long-term economic outlook, joint ventures, taxes and resale of real estate will feature a roster of experts.
