Gardening : GARDENER’S CHECKLIST

Share

For dedicated gardeners, here are suggestions on what to do in the garden this week from the California Assn. of Nurserymen:

Thin out the vegetable plants you may have started from seeds already to prevent overcrowding or stunted plants. Do this when they are 2 to 3 inches high.

Give your lawn a boost this spring by starting a regular feeding program.

“Pinch” annuals at planting time to produce bigger and better blooms later.

Cut down on weeding time by applying mulch around plants.
