AGOURA : Man Held in Attack on Wife, 2 Deputies
An Agoura man accused of attacking his wife and two Ventura County sheriff’s deputies was arrested Wednesday, authorities said.
Richard Forsberg, 45, was being held in lieu of $100,000 bail, Lt. Richard Diaz said.
The two officers were sent to a house in the 600 block of Calle Argon after a woman called police and said she was being assaulted, Diaz said.
When Deputies James T. Winstead, 34, and Ronald R. Colitti, 25, tried to intervene in the dispute, they were attacked by Forsberg, Diaz said. Although Forsberg was unarmed, the deputies received minor injuries and later were treated and released from Los Robles Regional Medical Center, he said.
Forsberg was arrested on suspicion of battering his wife, assaulting the two deputies, resisting arrest and malicious mischief in connection with damage to the door of a police car.
