Korean Cultural Service to Mark 10th Anniversary
The Korean Cultural Service, in the Park La Brea neighborhood, will celebrate its 10th anniversary April 11 beginning at 6 p.m. with an art exhibit and an experimental music performance.
The exhibit, entitled “East Bound, West Bound,” features nine artists from Korea and the United States. The concert, “No World Improvisation,” will be performed on the oboe and traditional komungo, a six-stringed board zither.
The Korean Cultural Service provides Los Angeles with opportunities to see Korea through its art and literary works and has arranged exchange programs between museums, universities and galleries around the world.
