War on Liberties
Using armored cars to batter down the doors of so-called crack houses; more college-aged African-American men in jail than in schools; and urine and blood samples required from prospective employees--are these scenarios from George Orwell’s nightmare novel, “1984”? No, it’s all happening here and now in Southern California and, in varying degrees, across this nation.
A war against drugs indeed! What we have here is an all-out attack on the civil liberties of residents and citizens of this country. These militaristic measures create more casualties than cures.
