Death Penalty Controversy--Cruel Punishment or Justice?
I have been genuinely shocked to learn that California may now resume executions after 23 years by killing Robert Alton Harris.
I realize that Harris has committed a vicious crime and should be punished appropriately, but I am strongly opposed to the death penalty.
There is a world trend toward total abolition of the death penalty which I sincerely hope California will join.
