Red, Hot and Blue Tunes: Republican National Committee Chairman Lee Atwater, who was hospitalized on Monday for treatment of a brain tumor, is making his recording debut with his “Red, Hot and Blue” album. It was shipped out Monday and is expected in stores next Tuesday. On the album from Curb Records, Atwater sings and plays guitar with Isaac Hayes, B. B. King, the Memphis Horns, Billy Preston and others who he selected to join him. The titles on the record include “Bad Boy,” “Knock on Wood,” “People Get Ready” and “I’m in the Mood.” All proceeds go to charities involved in fighting the war against drugs.
