Standard Brands Paint Co.: 8.5 The Torrance-based paint company reported a $3.7-million profit in fiscal 1989, down 23% from fiscal 1988. In the year ending Jan. 28, revenue totaled $314 million, up 3%. The firm said the results were affected by increased costs and heavy competitive pressures.
