Sacramento King owner Gregg Lukenbill and four others have been indicted on misdemeanor charges for their alleged role in the campaign to defeat a proposal for a new baseball stadium in San Francisco.
A grand jury handed down the indictments Monday. Arraignment in Superior Court was scheduled for today.
Lukenbill, 35, his key aide and three political consultants faced charges of conspiring to violate state election reporting requirements. The violation is a misdemeanor punishable by up to six months’ imprisonment, plus possible exclusion from elective office and lobbying jobs.
