Ronald G. Browne has been appointed director of new business development for the Institute for Biological Research and Development Inc., a pharmaceutical development company in Irvine. Browne was previously assistant director, CNS Development at Ciba-Geigy Corp. in Summit, N.J., where he was responsible for pre-clinical and clinical research. In addition, Dennis DeRosia, former manager of clinical research at IOLAB Pharmaceuticals in Claremont, has been named vice president of clinical research operations.
