Share

In response to busy phone lines, particularly Spanish-language lines, local Census Bureau offices are setting up centers where residents can exchange English census forms for Spanish ones.

“Over the last couple of weeks, there’s been problems with people’s ability to get through,” said Fernando Tafoya, Santa Ana district manager for the census bureau.

Volunteers or staff will also be available to answer questions about the forms.

The following locations will be open for assistance through April 22:

* Southwest Senior Center, 2201 W. McFadden Ave., Santa Ana. 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day.

* Santa Ana district office, 5 Hutton Centre Drive, Suite 1050, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday.
