Malaysian Rain Forests

l want to thank you wholeheartedly for publishing Hendrix’s feature on the rain forests of Malaysia. What a delight to read a piece that is both informative and well told.

Hendrix beautifully describes the way of life in this area, the economics surrounding the issue and the plight of the indigenous. Having the story told through the forest serviceman’s eyes, and the family in Part 2 made it especially moving. It became very clear who the people are around this logging issue--the chain of corruption is awesome. Thank you for this example of the highest standard of journalism.
