Amgen, Ortho Ordered to Negotiate: A Chicago arbitration judge has ordered Amgen and Ortho Pharmaceutical, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, to negotiate a settlement involving the marketing of an anti-anemia biotechnology drug. Amgen, based in Thousand Oaks, agreed to supply Ortho with the drug and to help Ortho win government approval to sell the drug, but a series of disputes developed between the two companies.
