Man Pleads Guilty in Sale of Steroids
A Redondo Beach man accused of running a nationwide steroid distribution ring has pleaded guilty to one felony count of possession of steroids for sale.
John Aldo Disanto, 31, faces up to three years in prison following his plea this week in South Bay Municipal Court. He will be sentenced June 12.
Acting on a tip last September, police raided Disanto’s apartment overlooking King Harbor and found more than 50,000 doses of the muscle-building drugs. Possession of steroids without a prescription is illegal and possession for sale is a felony.
Police also found an AK-47 rifle, a shotgun, two pistols and $36,000 in cash.
