MISSION VIEJO : Work on Pipeline Will Begin Monday
Work crews will begin installing pipe for the South County Pipeline project at Los Alisos Boulevard and Jeronimo Road on Monday.
Motorists are advised to take alternative routes to avoid delays while crews lay the 2,350-foot length of pipe. Pipeline installation will continue along Jeronimo Road until the pipe reaches Olympiad Road in November, project officials estimate.
The work is the second phase of the Mission Viejo portion of the project, backed by a consortium of water districts and land developers. Eventually it will extend from El Toro to San Clemente, and officials expect to complete the pipeline by mid-1991.
Once completed, the South County Pipeline will provide the area with a second major water pipeline.
