Furon Co. was named the Outstanding Emerging Growth Company on Thursday by the Orange County Chapter of the Assn. for Corporate Growth.

The company, formerly known as Fluorocarbon, was recognized for its “unique corporate culture and impressive financial and operating performance,” said Walter Schindler, a director of the association.

Furon, which makes plastic products for various industrial uses, recently announced record sales and earnings for the fiscal year.
