A fire that swept through the Fontana Hotel in Miami Beach, Fla., last week, killing nine people and sending scores of its elderly residents into the streets, was not set by an arsonist, a federal investigator said. “We absolutely have ruled out arson at this time,” said Malcom Brady, a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agent. Brady said the cause of the fire is officially listed as undetermined.
