Share

Your editorial “Still Too Many Questions” (Apr. 7) asked questions to which answers are unfortunately already known. The outcome of the investigation into the fatal shooting of a suspected drug dealer is a given, given Orange County’s record in these matters.

The officer(s) who fired four shots through a windshield at an unarmed, nonviolent suspect will be exonerated, patted on the back, and it will be “back to business as usual”.

The D.A.’s office, packed solidly with ex-police officers and/or “law and order” zealots, will reach deeply into its bag of bologna, and come up with any number of reasons to justify this senseless killing. After all, why break a string of 100% approval of every police shooting since time began?
