Senate to Screen War Documentary: A shortened version of “Weapons of the Spirit,” Pierre Sauvage’s acclaimed documentary about a village in France that saved 5,000 Jews from the Nazis, will be screened at the U.S. Senate on April 24 to commemorate Holocaust Remembrance Day. Sauvage, who was born and sheltered in the wartime sanctuary of Le Chambon, France, will address the Senate after the screening. The showing will mark the premiere of the 38-minute version of the 90-minute film, which will be distributed by the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith.
