NATION IN BRIEF : NEW YORK : Ivana Trump Sets Reconciliation Rules

From Times Staff and Wire Reports

For the first time since their separation began, Ivana Trump has laid down terms for a reconciliation with her billionaire husband, Donald. In a statement, her publicist, John Scanlon, said that Ivana “has always hoped for a reconciliation, but under certain conditions.” Those conditions, Scanlon said, are “No. 1, commitment to fidelity and No. 2, an equitable distribution of property.” The proposed peace terms came a day after the estranged couple appeared together publicly at the Trump-owned Plaza Hotel to spend Easter Sunday with their three children. There was no direct reaction from Donald Trump’s camp to the proposal.
