LOCAL : Man Dies in OC Freeway Crash
A 34-year-old Torrance man died today after his car rammed into a tractor-trailer on the Riverside Freeway here in Buena Park, the California Highway Patrol said this morning.
Daniel M. Chang was pronounced dead on the scene shortly after the 2 a.m. incident in the eastbound lanes just west of the Knott Avenue exit.
CHP Officer Angel Johnson said Chang was driving “at a high rate of speed” and had started to change lanes when he rear-ended the tractor-trailer.
Johnson said both the driver of the tractor-trailer and his passenger complained of minor back pain but did not require hospitalization.
