University of Arizona police have cited two Wildcat basketball players on unrelated misdemeanor charges, authorities said.
Freshman N. Deron Johnson, 19, was cited on two misdemeanor counts of assault and released after female students told campus police Johnson struck them in the face. Johnson told authorities he did not hit either woman but that he had argued with one.
Senior Harvey Mason, 21, was cited for allegedly threatening and intimidating a university parking and transportation officer during an exchange involving the ticketing and disabling of another Arizona player’s car.
