Cuban Workers Leaving Nicaragua

HAVANA —
The Cuban government said Wednesday that it is temporarily withdrawing its civilian construction workers from Nicaragua because it is not safe for them to stay there.
Cuba withdrew its military advisers from Nicaragua after the defeat of the Sandinista government by U.S.-backed candidate Violeta Barrios de Chamorro in February elections.
