University of Texas women’s basketball Coach Jody Conradt told a radio talk show audience that she is appalled by acts of racism on the school’s campus and believes it has hurt her recruiting efforts toward black players.
“I am embarrassed to be associated with an institution that hasn’t addressed the issue more strongly than it has,” Conradt told listeners on a sports talk aired on KFON of Austin.
There have been several protests after racists incidents involving two fraternities. Both fraternities have been suspended.
