NAMES IN THE NEWS : Jack Nicholson a Proud Papa

Actor Jack Nicholson and actress Rebecca Broussard have disclosed that they are parents of an infant girl, born Monday.

Lorraine Broussard Nicholson weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces when she was born at 6:35 a.m. Monday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, said publicist Paul Wasserman.

No other details were disclosed.

Nicholson, who won Academy Awards for his performances in “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” and “Terms of Endearment,” was seen most recently as the Joker in “Batman.”

Broussard plays a secretary to Nicholson’s detective in his movie “The Two Jakes.” The couple met on the set of the “Chinatown” sequel, due for release this August.
