Beverly Hills : $60,900 Schools Donation
Supporters of Councilman Max Salter’s reelection bid have donated $60,900 to the Beverly Hills Education Fund, campaign manager Linda Brown said Tuesday.
The donations were solicited instead of a standard fund-raising drive in the low-key campaign. Salter was returned to office in the April 3 election along with fellow incumbent Robert K. Tanenbaum.
Salter plans to match the donations with a contribution of his own, Brown said. The foundation raises money to supplement the budget of the Beverly Hills schools, which are struggling to maintain their staffing and services.
