OXNARD : Girl, 3, Struck by Rescue Squad Truck

A truck used by the Oxnard Fire Department rescue squad struck a 3-year-old girl in Oxnard Thursday, but she was not seriously hurt, authorities said Friday.
The police said the girl, Nicolle Ontiveros of Oxnard, ran from between parked cars and into the street on Masthead Drive at 4:10 p.m.
The little girl suffered minor scrapes and bruises when the pickup’s bumper struck her.
She was taken to St. John’s Medical Center for treatment.
