A truck used by the Oxnard Fire Department rescue squad struck a 3-year-old girl in Oxnard Thursday, but she was not seriously hurt, authorities said Friday.

The police said the girl, Nicolle Ontiveros of Oxnard, ran from between parked cars and into the street on Masthead Drive at 4:10 p.m.
