Western Financial Savings Bank Appoints New Treasurer

Joy Schaefer Fackler has been appointed treasurer of Western Financial Savings Bank and its Irvine-based holding company, Westcorp Inc. She previously worked for the accounting firm of Ernst & Young, specializing in auditing financial institutions. She has worked as vice president and assistant controller for Liberty National Bank and as a commercial audit manager for Illinois National Bank.

In addition, Harriet Feller has joined Western Financial Savings Bank as vice president and general counsel. She will be coordinating all legal activities while Regan Kelly, senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of Westcorp Inc., is on a medical leave of absence. Feller is the former general counsel for Mercury Savings & Loan and, before that, was corporate counsel for Ticor Title Insurance and general counsel for Ponderosa Homes.
