2 Stuntmen Sue Over Injuries in ‘Rocky V’

Two stuntmen who were injured during the shooting of the upcoming film “Rocky V” filed suit Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court against the producers of the film and actors Sylvester Stallone and Tommy Morrison.

Steve Santosusso, 26, of Glendale, and Todd Champion, 29, of West Covina, contend they were hurt in fight scenes designed to capture authentic knockouts on film, said their attorney, James Hanrahan. Santosusso’s jaw was broken in two places on March 14 and Champion’s right cheekbone was fractured the following day, Hanrahan said.

The suit also contends that Stallone directed the fight scenes, an allegation denied by a spokesman for the film’s producers. Dave Fulton, a spokesman for Rocky V Productions, denied that the stuntmen were “set up” in the scenes.
