Uncut ‘Tie Me Up’ to Be Released Unrated: Pedro Almodovar’s new film, “Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down,” slapped with an X rating by the Motion Picture Assn. of America, will be released uncut and unrated, Miramax Films, the movie’s American distributor, announced Thursday. The film’s unrated status nonetheless might restrict the number of theaters that will be willing to screen it. Miramax executive Russell Schwartz, said “We regret this turn of events and hope that ‘Tie Me Up!’ will be able to reach its audience.” The film opens in Los Angeles next Friday.
