Man Gets 5 Years in Killing at Restaurant
A 23-year-old Sylmar man was sentenced Thursday to five years in prison for killing a 21-year-old Los Angeles man during an argument outside a Reseda restaurant last year.
Van Nuys Superior Court Judge Alan B. Haber sentenced Inho Kim for voluntary manslaughter in the April 27, 1989, shooting death of Hong Soon Lim.
Kim shot Lim once in the head with a .357 magnum revolver in the parking lot of Seoul Seoul Restaurant on Louise Avenue after an argument in the restaurant’s bar.
Kim was originally charged with murder but was convicted of the lesser charge on April 5 after a non-jury trial.
