Caltech Professor Named to New Post
John H. Seinfeld, professor of chemical engineering at Caltech, has been named chairman of the institute’s division of Engineering and Applied Science.
Seinfeld, who has been at Caltech since 1967, has researched the physics and chemistry of air pollution and the formation and dynamics of atmospheric aerosols.
He graduated from the University of Rochester and earned his Ph.D. at Princeton University.
