Japanese who haven’t the energy to go to New York can buy their own slice of the Big Apple in Tokyo.

Whether it’s “I Love N.Y.” shirts, or a Manhattan condo priced at $1.4 million, the New York Book mail-order catalogue sells it.

“We want our customers actually to feel they are in New York,” says Eiji Muranaka, manager of the new lifestyle catalogue launched by the Felissimo company.

“The whole idea is to be able to buy everything in this country, not to have to go to America,” he adds.
