THOUSAND OAKS : Teacher Contract Talks to Start in May
Contract talks are scheduled to begin the first week in May between the Conejo Valley Unified School District and the teachers union, which represents 700 teachers.
The union has proposed a three-year contract that includes a salary increase of 19%, a more comprehensive benefits package and a maximum class size of 30 students. The current contract expires June 30.
Last week, the school board listened to parents who testified in support of the union’s proposal.
