WEATHER: Monday’s rain was heavy in some parts of the county and caused the usual fender benders (B2), but it won’t do much for the drought or fire protection. . . . “This little rainfall causes some growth, which then dries up very quickly and adds more fuel to the already dry countryside,” said Kathleen Cha of the Orange County Fire Department. . . . As for today, it’ll be partly cloudy with a chance of showers. Highs will be in the 70s and lows near 50 (B8).
