Campbell Reduces Staff: Campbell Soup Co. said it has eliminated 19% of its headquarters staff since the start of the year as part of a drive to improve productivity. The Camden, N.J.-based company said the staff reductions--267 by termination and 97 by attrition since Jan. 1--affected the company’s most senior levels. The cutbacks are expected to save $17 million this year.
