Tonight’s Medlfy Spraying
State helicopters are scheduled tonight to make their final round of malathion spraying over a 36-square-mile section that includes all of Garden Grove and parts of Huntington Beach, Los Alamitos, Cypress, Stanton, Anaheim, Orange and Santa Ana.
Frank Parsons, Orange County agricultural deputy commissioner, said the spraying is subject to change, depending on weather conditions. Spraying is set to begin about 9 p.m.
Spraying was initiated after a Mediterranean fruit fly was found in the area late last year.
